Research and Lutherie

Her many interests lead her not only to explore music, as early as her second performance, this artist began adapting harps to create one specifically made for flamenco. She delved into the study and research of the existing diversity, experimenting with different woods, strings, fingernails… A parallel path in which she is immersed, driven by her commitment to beauty and flamenco.

From this commitment, her compositions are born: two previously unconnected worlds find a bridge in the hands of Ana Crismán. Seguiriyas, soleá, bulerías, tientos, granaínas, tangos… her compositions are deeply rooted, with a sound that is profoundly flamenco, very essential, yet with a unique timbre and resonance, creating a new and very special space.

Y llegó para quedarse (And she came to stay) is the title under which Manuel Martín Martín wrote a review stating that Ana Crismán’s Flamenco Harp, for the first time in the History of Music, is incorporated into flamenco.
